Plot
A television studio is used by day to film a TV series, but in the evenings, the premises are the domain of the employees of a cleaning company, most of them immigrants. One evening, the the camera storage door is left open, and Dilip gets a sudden urge to try one out. Gradually, an idea develops: why not use the studio at night to film video messages that other immigrants can send to their families?

Matteo Pellegrini
Born in Milan, Italy, Matteo Pellegrini studied cinema in Milan and Bologna. Between 1994 and 1997, he made several shorts, earning numerous awards. He has made music videos for Tiziano Ferro and Laura Pausini, as well as working in the world of advertising. Italian Movies is his first full-length feature.
Trama
Una notte, negli studi televisivi in cui si produce una serie televisiva, durante il turno di lavoro delle pulizie degli uffici, un gruppo di immigrati scopre la porta blindata del deposito aperta. Uno di loro, Dilip, “prende in prestito” una telecamera per girare il video delle nozze di un amico…

Matteo Pellegrini
Matteo Pellegrini è un regista italiano. Ha studiato cinema a Milano e Bologna. Tra il 1994 e il 1997, ha girato diversi cortometraggi, ottenendo numerosi riconoscimenti; ha inoltre realizzato video musicali per Tiziano Ferro e Laura Pausini. Fa il suo esordio nel cinema con il lungometraggio Italian Movies.
Trama
Un studio de télévision. Le jour, on tourne une série et le soir, les locaux sont livrés au personnel d’une entreprise de nettoyage, pour l’essentiel, des immigrés. Un soir, la porte du réduit où sont rangées les caméras est restée ouverte et Dilip est pris de l’envie soudaine d’en essayer une. Petit à petit l’idée fait son chemin: pourquoi ne pas utiliser le studio la nuit pour enregistrer des clips, des messages, que d’autres immigrés pourront envoyer à leurs familles?
