Plot

Rosetta is a lively, charming and confident 42 year old southern flower of the Thyrrenian coast. She’s happily living with her husband Edmondo, the best tailor in all of Calabria. They’re both proud of their atelier and of their beautiful daughter Sofia. With the sudden death of Edmondo, at the apex of artistic and economic success, Sofia and Rosetta are left alone by all their relatives and supposed friends; so they throw themselves in the only resource that life has left them: to keep the tailor shop working.

Trama

Rosetta si è trasferita dalle Eolie in un paesino della Calabria dopo aver sposato Edmondo, che con il suo talento ha messo in piedi una sartoria per soli uomini, ottenendo un notevole successo artistico ed economico. Quando Edmondo muore, a Roberta e alla bella figlia Sofia, lasciate sole da amici e familiari alle prese con le difficoltà di tutti i giorni, tocca prendere in mano le redini dell’atelier attirando una girandola di voci e pettegolezzi su quale sia la professione che entrambe svolgono con i clienti, rigorosamente sempre di sesso maschile, che continuano a ricevere. Dopo qualche tempo, per placare le malelingue, l’amica Adelina propone a Sofia di sposare Salvatore, un giovane artista di strada, ma il matrimonio non sortisce alcun benefico effetto e il disastro per la sartoria sembra essere dietro l’angolo.
