Francesco è stato appena licenziato da una multinazionale, non ha il coraggio di dirlo in famiglia e ogni mattina esce di casa in giacca e cravatta cercando un nuovo impiego e il senso alla vita. Non trova né l’uno né l’altro, ma in compenso, per caso in un bar, trova Alessandro. Quasi per sbaglio, tra i due nasce una strana forma di collaborazione: iniziano a truffare insieme il prossimo, anche se sono uno l’opposto dell’altro. Ad alleggerire l’atmosfera c’è la comicità sottile, “sottoesposta”, levigata del duo divenuto celebre sul palco di “Zelig” e l’innesto delle truffe che vengono architettate e perfezionate man mano che la trama fa il suo corso. Massimo Venier realizza una commedia “strapparisate” scorrevole, piena di buoni sentimenti, che pone l’amicizia maschile al centro della storia. 
I TRUST YOU I Trust You is a story of swindles and friendship between two bizarre characters, each an outcast in his own way. Alessandro is a small-time conman who dreams of a normal life. Francesco had a regular life, until his multinational corporation fired him. Unable to bring himself to tell his family, he leaves home each morning in a jacket and tie to search for a new job and give his life meaning. He fails at both tasks, but he does bump into Alessandro. Almost by accident, a strange form of teamwork develops, as the twobegin swindling together, though they are direct opposites: Alessandro wants to go straight, while Francesco wants to become a crook. Alessandro is a scraggly, surreal prankster, while Francesco proceeds with an insane determination. They are always fighting, but ultimately each discovers something new, thanks to his accomplice..
