Plot
Mamma Stella is on edge. As if she hadn’t been through enough trouble with her daughter Rosa Maria, who left her husband! Now Costantino, her son, has left the priesthood.
Afraid to be the talk of the village, she relegates him to a distant lighthouse belonging to the family. Costantino does not remain far from the maddening town inhabitants for long. It does not take long indeed before all the local (or even distant) outcasts flock together there: Magnolia, a retired escort; Arturo, Rosa Maria’s estranged husband; Valbona, a lesbian; Rosa Maria herself; and, to crown it all, two eccentric workers accompanied by a little girl… After a period of chaos, this small world gradually discovers that unity makes strength.
Trama
Un ex prete, don Costantino, viene confinato dalla madre perché non si sappia che si è spretato. Mamma Stella, infatti, ha già un altro scandalo da affrontare: sua figlia Rosa Maria ha lasciato il marito, Arturo, ed è scappata con un misterioso amante.
Il vecchio faro in disuso – che appartiene alla famiglia di Costantino e che dovrebbe garantirgli l’isolamento -, attira invece gente come un magnete, trasformandosi via via in un refugium peccatorum. Dopo l’ex prete arriva una ex prostituta, Magnolia.
Poi il cognato cornuto, Arturo. Infine una stravagante ditta di ristrutturazioni chiamata per riparare il tetto del faro. In un gioco di rimandi e agnizioni, istruzioni e ristrutturazioni i protagonisti di questa storia disegneranno il loro futuro.
