Zia and Friends documents the lives of a few residents living at a long-term care facility in Toronto. Most of them have dementia and they spend their days eating, sleeping and sitting around the nursing station as they wait for God. They’ve lost track of time, forgotten the names of loved ones, but they have not lost their sense of humour.

Plot

Zia and Friends racconta la vita di alcuni residenti di una casa di cura a Toronto. La maggior parte dei pazienti soffre di demenza e trascorre i propri giorni mangiando, dormendo e aspettando Dio in infermeria. Hanno perso la cognizione del tempo, dimenticato i nomi dei propri cari, ma gli resta ancora il senso dell’umorismo.
