Plot
Guia, age thirty, works for a prestigious international fashion magazine. Driving a luxurious convertible and traveling on private jets and living between Milan and Paris, she has, or at least thought she had everything… until one fine day she finds herself in a town deep in the boondocks of Apulia, where she meets Renzo, a fascinating man who happens to be a farmer and who will make her see that the only thing she doesn’t have is love – the real kind. But when happiness is just one step away, will she know how to reach for it?

Paolo Genovese
Born in Rome, he graduated in Business and Economics. In 2005, with Luca Miniero, he directs Nati ieri and Viaggio in Italia, broadcast by RAI in 20 episodes. In 2001 he directed his first feature film, Incantesimo napoletano, a revised version of the short film of the same name shot in 1998, thanks to which he won the David di Donatello award and two Golden Globes.
Trama
Guia ha 30 anni, lavora in una prestigiosa rivista internazionale di moda, guida una spider di lusso, viaggia in jet privato e vive tra Milano e Parigi. Insomma, credeva di avere tutto, fino a quando le capita ‘tra le mani’ un dono inaspettato: un casale in Puglia ereditato da sua zia. Guia farà di tutto per vendere il casale, per disfarsi di quelle quattro mura e di ogni possibile legame con una terra ai suoi occhi tanto umile e grezza. Invece è proprio in questo sperduto paese che si imbatterà in Renzo, un affascinante contadino del posto che le farà capire cosa le manca: l’amore, quello vero. Ma per Guia, raggiungere la felicità sarà una sfida.

Nel 2005 cura la regia della serie televisiva Nati ieri, mentre l’anno successivo dirige con Luca Miniero Viaggio in Italia, trasmesso in 20 micro-puntate a Ballarò, su Raitre. Scrive e dirige insieme a Luca Miniero il film Incantesimo Napoletano (2001), vincitore di un David di Donatello e due globi d’oro.
