Ambassador of Italian Cinema in the World

Italian Cinema in the World and Its Ambassador

Italian Cinema in the World and Its Ambassador
Italian Contemporary Film Festival honours Andrea Iervolino

AndreaI1An Ambassador is a symbol. An Ambassador plays the highest and most prestigious role when two sides connect with each other when coming to an agreement, or for a new undertaking to be initiated through the contribution of different actors. Ambassadors promote, facilitate, foster, and
-most of all- they have a vision. They can see all the potentials hidden in most difficult situations.

Until few years ago, a stream of exchanges of experiences and ideas between Italy and North America through film production was something rarely achieved, let alone specific projects, finalized by the actual production of films. Nowadays, this is a reality in progress thanks to the enthusiasm and the entrepreneurial efforts of Andrea Iervolino.

The Italian Contemporary Film Festival is proud to announce that the Award for “Ambassador of Italian Cinema in the World” will be presented to Andrea Iervolino for his achievements in film production and distribution.

Andrea Iervolino, who has been a producer since the age of 16
, has produced, financed and distributed more than 40 features. A partner and founder of a number different production companies, he is currently the youngest and most highly regarded Italian entrepreneur in the filmmaking sector. However, Iervolino’s most important and valuable contribution is the permanent bridge he has created between the two shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks to him, Italian creativity meets North American production power and professional excellence.

Iervolino’s projects and realizations expand from genre films to dramas, from independent productions to animation films: a wide array of high quality offers, directed by great filmmakers from Italy and North America such as Barry Levinson, Marco Risi, James Franco, and starring great actors such as Al Pacino, Greta Gerwig, Sarah Jessica Parker, Raoul Bova, Robert Duvall, Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover, Daryl Hannah.

We would like to congratulate Andrea, but we would also like to thank him for his passion and his enthusiasm. Through his work, he shows us the way to a brighter future of more projects that will tie Italian and Canadian film industries, opening new avenues to quality entertainment.
