TORONTO, April 4, 2017 /CNW/ – Frank D’Angelo’s latest feature film titled The Neighborhood, which he wrote, directed and stars in with a world renowned cast of actors featuring Giancarlo Giannini, Danny Aiello, Franco Nero, Armand Assante, Burt Young, John Savage, John Ashton, Daniel Baldwin, Michael Parè, Margot Kidder, Leslie Easterbrook, Robert Miano, Maureen McCormick, Tom Wright, Sherman Augustus, Laurie Fortier, Tony Nardi, Art Hindle, Shannon Wilcox and Amanda Martinez has just completed principal photography and is now in the post production stage and scheduled to be released this summer with a premiere showing at the Italian Contemporary Film Festival.
The Neighborhood, is an original story penned by Frank D’Angelo that takes place in Brooklyn NY, about a brash small-time group of hoodlums who have been doing minor crime jobs in their neighborhood since they were kids – from stealing the basket of donations from the church to modern time when they are stealing truckloads of products until they step on the wrong toes and get caught up in a war with an old-school mafia king pin and their lives soon become hell on earth.
Frank D’Angelo is quickly becoming one of Canada’s most accomplished film makers, having written, produced, directed and starred in 5 feature films in the last four years all with a cast of some of Hollywood’s most notable and respected actors. His last film, the multi-award winning Red Maple Leaf has just completed its theatrical release in the USA and Canada and will be coming to Video on Demand worldwide starting May 1st. Frank D’Angelo has also written and scored the music for all his films and will be starting a new concert tour with his 15-piece band starting this weekend where audiences will be introduced to an extraordinary repertoire of music from Frank D’Angelo’s albums and movies.

Frank D’Angelo is a screenwriter, director, actor, musician, and a Canadian talk show host. As a performer, he knew there was a big void in Canada for Canadians to promote their talents and so he created The Being Frank Show, a nationally broadcast late night talk/variety show.
