Plot
Anna lives alone with her daughter Morgana and works in a big firm. She likes her work, but the day the company is bought by an international firm, everything suddenly changes. The company slowly but inexorably make her an outcast. Anna tries to see the good side of things, but the other employees’ very inimical behavior ends up confusing her completely.

Francesca Comencini originally attended university to study philosophy, but after two years she left school and moved to France to be a writer. Her dream expanded into multiple roles when she chose to write and direct her first film, which was autobiographical, Pianoforte (1984). Since her film debut she has continued to write and direct for television, film, and documentaries.

Trama
Anna vive con sua figlia Morgana e lavora per un’azienda. Le piace il lavoro, ma un giorno l’azienda viene comprata da una multinazionale, e tutto cambia all’improvviso. Lentamente, ma inesorabilmente, Anna diventa un’emarginata, carica di frustrazioni. I suoi superiori la relegano ad un ruolo inferiore al precedente. Ormai nel pieno di un esaurimento nervoso, trascurerà persino la figlia Morgana che però saprà starle accanto e salvarla.

Giovane studente della facoltà di filosofia, Francesca Comencini lascia l’università dopo due anni per trasferirsi in Francia e poter scrivere. Questo sogno l’ha portata a diventare sceneggiatrice e regista del suo primo film, Pianoforte (1984), fortemente autobiografico. Sin dal debutto sul grande schermo, ha continuato a scrivere e dirigere lavori per il cinema e la televisione.
